Default 4l60E on long crank 6.0 (99-00)

I am hearing hell no it can't be done and that's unfortunate because I got a heck of a deal on the 6.0. What would it take to mount the long crank 6.0 (if possible) to the 4l60e that came in LS powered trucks. Really wanted to stick it in my '84 C10 and build a nice street truck with tons of meat under the curve and still enjoy cruising in OD.

Your 1998 or later 4L60E with a hole at the 12-O'clock position will have a 300mm input shaft. As I understand it, converters for 300mm will not work with a long crank.
I would suggest calling one of the torque converter companies, like Yank, and asking if they could create a customer converter for you.
I don't have any experience here, - just grasping for straws.

Thanks MRV, I got my answer a few days back and did not like it. Either mill off a portion of my stock converter snout, get a 4l80e or get a custom converter.

Interesting that "off the shelf" 4L80E converters will work with a long crank. That would then be my suggestion - go 4L80E and here is why:
* If you have a pre-2002 4L60E, it will need a rebuild with performance parts to survive an LS engine.
* I have never read a comment here from anyone switching to a 4L80E regretting it. (And plenty complaints about 4L60E failures)
* While a good 4L80E converter is expensive, you can likely find a used one this forum. (Still cheaper than a custom one.)
Good luck.
