Default New Powerglide- wont move.... Nothing happens, ideas?

Ok,

So here is what i know, its a new TSI powerglide, cant remmeber model, but its got a brake, and is supposedly rated to around 850-900hp...

Anywho, got the car on the ground today after plumbing the trans cooler, filled it up with fluid, and fired it up and got her up to temp...

running through the gears, nothing happens, reverse, forward, nothing....

I got to thinking, this is a hydraluic machine, needs fluid movement, so i pulled the lines off the cooler to see if fluid was even being pumped.. Nothing....

Im at a lose, when i installed the converter, i filled it, it engaged 3 times, spaced it 1/8" off the flex plate... I have no idea whats going on...

Any ideas?

this sounds dumb BUT i just did this on a customers car cause i was stupid and didnt check for myself. what conveter you running and what input shaft does the trans have? if your running a turbo spline converter(most do) it will install on a glide with a stock input shaft but do nothing. the glide input is smaller so it slides in but doesnt engage.

2 questions,

Why does my converter have three teeth missing in a triangle pattern.

Also, should the input shaft slide in and out?

Not sure what mean with the teeth but yes the input can be pulled out of the trans, it should also have 2 small plastic ring seals on it as well

Pull the pan and see if it has a filter installed. Other than that you may have busted the pump gears on the first install.

I just talked to TSI, he said to pull it out and check the pump gears too, not sure how it wouldve been broken though, nothing is any different upon re-install, i could not get the converter any farther back and i didnt have to pull it forward more then 1/8" to meet the flexplate...

I dont know...

If you try to force the converter into the pump it can damage the pump gears.

My converter took some wiggling and trial and error to finally get it to engage when I re-built, installed my transbrake and new converter in mine this last go around. 3 engagements is correct though, usually the first two are easy and the last one is the hardest to get to engage.

Maybe you should pull the pan and see if the manual valve is hooked up.
