Default I need some opinions on a stall.

Basically here is the deal in a nutshell. 98 Trans AM, TCI3000 stall, Equal length headers, ORY and SLP 2 catback with a Dyno tune from a very reputable shop. Car made 328whp and 341 torque. Anyway the TCI stall seems to have **** the bed after only 5 weeks of driving around town. That being said. I really like what I have read about yank stalls and was wondering if anyone is using a
STEALTH THRUSTER 3000 for the street and how the drive-ability is and so on. Bare in mind the car only has 30K on it and I dont race the car or track it. Any advice or input would be greatly appreciated.
Mike.

Yank SS3600 is the stall you want. You may think you want a 3000 for the street but I'm telling you that the SS3600 is so tight you would hardly notice a difference from the 3000 until you go WOT. Then it would be WOW what a difference!

I have had/driven a 3000, 3500 & 4400 stalled LS1 and I would never recommend less then a 3500 stall an any ls1 application. But that's just me

My Yank SS3600 is tighter on the street than the TCI 2800 I had in it.

so basically I won't be reving the life out of the engine to get the car moving at a green light anymore than I was with the 3000? on top of that I have a set of motive 373 gears that I plan on having installed. If I decide to run a ss3600 will this car be screaming on the highway? Sorry if that seems like a stupid question but this is the first automatic car that I have ever had so I am kinda confused

No it won't be screaming. It should be around 22-2300rpms or so at 65 mph. I'm not sure the exact number. My ss3600 will move with maybe 1500rpms from a stop and will move on its own if i take my foot off the brake.

My custom FTI moves just off idle

It'll shift at 1900rpm 1st to 2nd and stay shifting around 2k. This is was a 3500 stall with lower str than a yank and 2.73 gears.

Screaming ? 3.73s' should put you at 2100 rpm (true rpm as factory tachs typically show a higher rpm by 100-200) at true 60 mph. My A4/4.56s' gave me 2500 true rpm at 60 true mph.

I have a 3500 in my 98 Firebird and 4.10's. My car will also roll if I take my foot off the brake and I'm around 2300 at 65 mph.
