What's the connection between spark plugs and shiftpoints

For a few years whenever the plugs start to get a little weak the car will not shift at wot. It's been part of my preseason routine to change them before I go to the track. This year I got in a hurry and didn't. It's set to shift at 6000 and bounced off the limiter at 6600 twice before hitting second and three or four times before hitting third. Then at the 1000 ft fell on its face and felt like it hit od.

I'm tired of just accepting it and throwing plugs at it. There must be a reason it does this. I swapped plugs last night and took it out on some back roads, and it shifts great. Any ideas?

What do spark plugs and shift points have to do with eachother? If it's not shifting where you tell it to and keeps bouncing of the limiter then shifting sounds like a tune issue. Same goes with early shifting into OD...

+1 on the tune or a slipping 4l60. are those runs with the n2o?

on a side note we have very similar mods, exciting to see i may be able to get 11's.

I'd agree. However I tried to go through the tune and nothing worked. I slapped new plugs in it and no problems what so ever.

Do I think it's the plugs? No, I think the plugs are a symptom that I keep treating. I'm looking for the cause. To me the ignition has to be involved somewhere. The tune was done by frost and the only change I've made since is correcting the speedo after going to 3.73s

And no the times are not on the bottle. I tried to spray last year and was battling a bad track and couldn't hook. Don't worry once I get things sorted out I'll have some nitrous times to post up.
