I have a 2001 Camaro z28 with a six speed manual but id like to convert it into an automatic. What do I need for that exactly? An automatic transmission, stall converter...but what else im kinda new to this conversion stuff.

automatic pedals
automatic shifter console
automatic shifter assembly w/neutral safety switch
automatic trans crossmember
speartech conversion harness if youre running a 4L60e or 4L80e. Does not apply to a th350/th400/Glide obviously.
trans cooler
stall converter
auto transmission
dipstick if the trans doesnt have one
flexplate
torque converter and flexplate bolts
HP tuners to change your tune or equivalent if youre using 4L60e or 4L80e. Not needed on a th350/th400/Glide the six speed file works fine.

You will also need some thin sheetmetal to cover the manual shifter hole, just take the manual boot off and outline it and use a small punch to mark the bolt holes. The clutch master you can leave in there or take it out and plug the hole. I work in a Toyota parts room and matched up a plug that worked perfectly p/n 90950-01960. You will also need a shift cable, mine came with the shifter.
