Default 1998 T/A trans swap with 3.8 4l60e

Hello everyone, first off, I have done extensive searching on the topic, but have not completely found a definitive answer. These is a lot of conflicting information floating around.

What I have:
1998 Firebird Trans am with a bad 4l60e

What I am trying to find out:
Will a 4l60e trans from a 1998 firebird 3.8v6 fit.

I know I need to change the bellhousing. This leaves the only other issue of the torque converter and the input shaft.

I know about the three different types of input shafts that came with the 4l60e transmissions. The 300mm fully splined "LS1" style, the 298mm piloted lt1/gen1/2 style and a 245mm 2.8 3.4 v6 style. The guy who is selling the transmsion sent me a picture of the input shaft. It is definitely not the 298mm style. I am having a hard time deciphering whether it is the 245mm or 300mm input shaft. I have read many people saying the V6 trans has a different input shaft, but also many who say in the 98+ (different from 97 and older) the trans comes with the 300mm input shaft. If anyone can help by the picture or just by knowing I would appreciate it. I am trying to get the seller to count the splines, because if my research is correct, 300mm=30 spline 245mm=27 splines. I cant say which one is in the picture for certain.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. He is asking $50 for the trans. it is out of a wrecked 45k mile car.

Thanks,

Rob

Here are the three types of 4L60E input shafts.
I am not sure which you have from the picture either, but certainly not 298mm.

Yeah, I agree.
I would avoid it even at $50 as it would require a rebuild and/or special/custom parts to make it work.

As it turns out, it was the 245mm. Thanks for the picture and replies.
