Default Converter question

I have a generic 2800 rpm converter in my car, its been in since before the cam went in. I've been considering going with a Yank SS3600 or even SS4000 but would like some opinions if it would be worth the cost. If anybody else has made a similar update I'e love to hear about it. Is this going to be enough of an improvement to justify the $800?

With a 224 cam and 3.73 rear, I think you you would be very satisfied with a SS3600 or even a SS4000. I had a TCI (about 2600) for a while and found the SS3600 to be a huge improvement. And that was with 3.42 rear.

I am not cammed but I have a yank ss3600 and think it's a pretty wicked converter.
Knocked .9 tenths of my quarter with 3.73's and my yank

Worth it. Also look at what PTC, circle D and FTI have to offer.
