Am I getting bogus advice about the trans. Cooler for my Astro van?

I started a thread at the Astro Van forum and I believe I’m getting bogus advice for my 99 Astro which has the same trans as my TA.
The man that tuned the TA adjusted shift points and line preasure however I don't recall any adjustments w/ tempature.
There saying to use both the radiater and the external cooler which doesn’t make any sense to heat up the fuild w/ rad. Then try to cool it down w/ cooler.
I have plugged my rad on the 99 TA and am using two external coolers never had any problems in 14 years.
What do you Guy’s think?
Thanks

For most modern transmissions, TCC lockup has some form of temperature control that when the trans is running hot it will engage the TCC lockup sooner, and if the trans is running cold it wont lock up the TCC until late. Given the fact that your located in florida, as long as you don't see cold temperatures, no reason to worry about running it inline with the radiator cooler. Only people who see consistently cold winter's every year have to worry about issues with warm up. Just keep that in mind though if you ever move to a location that has 4 seasons.
