2005 4l65e valve body harness swap to 2008 valve body harness I have a 2005 4l65e ordered a new valve body harness but the one i received is for a 2008 4l65e and it looks exactly the same but has an extra harbess clip. Will this work on my 05 valve body if i just clipped the extra harness off ?

Check that the main connectors match up except for the extra pins for the "extra" clip which is the ISS (Input Speed Sensor) . As long as the connector matches up, you should be good to go.
Around 2009 GM deleted the 3-2 downshift solenoid and replaced the Manifold Pressure Switch with a mechanical switch on the linkage. They also changed the main connector because these transmissions are completely incompatible with previous ones.
