Default FTI vs Circle D budget converter

Hey guys! I made up my mind, instead of going and installing a cam. I am going the converter route. I have a 2001 Trans Am WS6 mods are in sig. Its a daily driver in the summer months. I have ended up with two choices of converters to what I feel my needs are. The circle D GM 278mm HP 4L60 LS Torque Converter or the FTI3200LS converter. I don't believe there is too much of a difference between the 2. However just curious who has what converter and what are the differences. Thanks guys.

Didn't care for the 278 from circle d. Felt like a stock converter. That said I have one of the billet 245 converters now that is awesome. Customer service from circle d is excellent, I have no experience with Fti.

The 278mm is a great choice for a DD with minor mods, drives great and has very little effect MPGs or heat. Our version has several internal durability upgrades to increase longevity and eliminate chance of a failure. 278mm core is known for killing the rear bearing, we have a new hub plate that incorporates a bearing retainer and eliminates this failure. If you guys have any questions, just let us know.

Here are a few pics of the new updates.

if i were to get on it would be circle d.

the reason being is that a they have good customer service and reputation, also could be that i could drive 10 miles and pick it up from their office and if i have a problem i know where to return it to.

now if only they would "donate" one to my truck that would be sweet.

I've used Fti in my th350 before. I'm going with circle d for my 4l80e build. I sent a spec sheet at night and I had a response the next morning. So I'm sold

Yeah, when my Circle D converter showed up I was impressed with how it was packed. Even the most ornery postal worker wouldn't be able to hurt it.

They're so proud of their packaging that they made a video about it

I used that FTI3200LS converter on a buddy's camaro and was surprised how well it handled a large cam and was easy to drive.
