Default P0757 after new trans and 3200 stall

Hey guys, I have a 2002 z28 that I recently installed a different 4l65e in with a fti 3200. First start up I got the p0757 code and only have 1st and 2nd. Even if I delete the code it still doesn't shift into 3rd or 4th. So my question is should I proceed to change to solenoid or try having someone delete the code?

P0757 code means your solenoid B (2-3 shift solenoid) is stuck on or otherwise having problems. Shifting from 2nd to 3rd requires solenoid B to be off.

Replacing solenoid B should fix your problem. It's recommend to replace both because solenoid A and B look, and in fact are, exactly the same solenoid. It is easy to accidentally replace the wrong one, so replacing both ensures you replace the faulty one. Each solenoid (get the ACDelco ones) costs about $15 and can be replaced with just dropping the transmission pan.

I've attached some pictures of both the valve body diagram and the shifting diagram where you can see that 2-3 shift requires the solenoid to turn from 'on' to 'off'.
