4l80e factory ecm standalone questions
So I have a 06 Crew Cab silverado, and recently picked up a 12valve cummins. You see where this is going
I'm wondering if the factory ecm can be converted to standalone for transmission. I know it can be done on engine side. But with a VSS, RPM/tach signal, and TPS, can the trans shift without being in Limp Mode? I have hptuners, and was wondering if the trans diagnostics can be removed so that it never senses it having an issue?
I believe there is a way around this and that a aftermarket standalone should not have to be purchased. Any help?
Goals are to not have to touch the drivetrain besides engjne, keeping stock trans, 4wd, push button and what not.
Thanks.
