Default 4L60E from 4wd for 2wd corvette

So, I plan to put an LM7 from a 2001 4wd tahoe into a 78 vette. Is it possible to use the stock 4L60E transmission from the tahoe ? What would I need to adapt the transmission to go straight to the drive shaft instead of the transfer case?

Otherwise...does anyone know if the stock 700R4 Trans will bolt direct to the 5.3l LM7? I am not sure of the positives or negatives of either approach.

Any help would be great!

You will need a 2wd Output Shaft with VSS Reluctor, 2wd extension housing, VSS Sensor. And I recommend switching to a "Short" Shift Shaft, Makes the Shift Cable easier to install.
The trans will need to be tore down to the Input Planet to swap shafts.

I would not run a 700 since your 5.3L PCM will control a 4L60E.
