Default 4L60E fluid out the top vent!

So...I see trans fluid on my garage floor. wide splash pattern. Move the car to another location and then back no more fluid. Had a shop check out the source of the fluid. Top vent, fluid ran down the sides of the tran! Prior to finding the fluid in my garage I did run the car full throttle while the trans was probably not up to temp. Problem? Overheated? Trans cooler? 1st
time this happened. Car has only 28K miles and trans was service maybe
500miles before including filter. 2002 Z28

Cooler was clear. Unclear what the issue is. Will get the trans up to temp and then run it hard and see if there is still an issue.

Have you checked the fluid level? Usually when overfilled and especially when ran hard and over filled it will push fluid out the top tube

Yeah, I'm thinking that was the issue as the shop who changed the filter
and fluid claimed it wasn't overfilled when re-looking at it.

When it spews, is the fluid foamed up (pull dipstick) Sucking air, had this happen when I cracked a front pump. Yours could be a seal in the filter not right.
