There's quite a few TH400 swap threads going within in the first page of the section. if not try searching this section with "Th400" and see what you get. OR shoot me a PM and i'll get some info from you about the car and talk about the process and options.

Remove t56 and flywheel, pull the master cylinder (MUST move steering colomn). When installing the 400 it's best to cut the ears off, also go ahead and get an sfi flywheel. You will likely need to make a bracket to bolt the auto shifter to. You CAN use the t56 crossmember, but you will then have the issue of what to do with the torque arm, So it's best to get an all in one unit. I've seen it said that the t56 tranny mount will work also....not true...at least on an 87 400.

Nope. That's the beauty of a 350 or400....no tuning needed. I'm at the tail end of my swap, just need some wiring help with mine.
