4L70E to 6L80E harness for NNBS question?
This may be a longshot but I have access to 2 wrecked trucks at a small junkyard which both use a 4x4 6L80E. I would like to swap the 6L80E into my truck and was wondering if it is that simple to get it to work. I was told I can re-flash the dash cluster and also swap the shifter for the shift function and re-flash that as well. Obviously I would need to re-tune the ECU. Both vehicles listed below are 4x4/AWD.
First vehicle is a 2009 ECSB Silverado 4x4 VortexMax L76 6.0/6l80E with transfer case. Truck has 56,000 Miles
Second vehicle is a 2007.5 CCSB Sierra Denali 6.2/6L80E, Truck has 82,000 Miles.
If the harness swap will work, I can grab the Harness, shifter and if necessary, the ECU, trans crossmember, and dash cluster for $200.
I will be using the 6L80E and transfer case from the VortexMax regardless, due to the low mileage. The guy told me he will sell me the Trans, Torque Converter, FlexPlate, Transfer Case, Front and Rear Drivelines, Crossmember, Complete Harness, Shifter, Dash Cluster, and any other item pertaining to my swap for $1,200. If I have to come back he will charge me for any items, so I would like to get as many items to complete the swap as I can.
