I will just have to pull it out and have a trans Builder take a look at it

I'm wagering on an install issue. They odds of the transmission going bad at the same time as a converter install HAVE to be astronomical.

Transmission works perfectly fine for about 2 minutes then I hear a small noise coming from the transmission then no response at all from any of the gears

Drop the trans pan and you'll find all your clutch material laying there.

The owner of the shop said his first guess was converter went bad because the trans stops working after it runs for a minute or two.. but when I initially start the car it goes right into gear

Torque converters do not do this! You need to be there when he tears the unit down...

transmission shop called... they completely went through my trans so the final word is the converter took a crap. everything else in trans was completely fine and in working order the trans is filled with shavings now an was plugging the filter. this was a new yank converter so It was sent back to them a few days ago they are going to open it up an see what happen.. mechanic also said when he pulled the converter out there was shavings all over the shaft it sits on an bearings fell out of converter

today I flushed my trans cooler an lines!

You can't flush them enough. There is actual cans of trans line/cooler flush that does pretty good. It foams up and carries crap out with it.

If still using the factory cooler make sure you flushing in the top line and out the bottom fitting.

It can be done with water and compressed air.

It can be but it's not getting everything unless the only cooler your running is a tube and fun type with nowhere for debris to settle. I've tore up more than my share of trannies and clean the lines and cooler with brake clean first to cut the oil, then flush Good with water and air followed by the actual cleaner and alway get glitter out with the cleaner.

I used compressed air on top an bottom line until just air came out then I used a solvent carb an choke cleaner an filled both lines an blew them out several times until fluid coming out was clear an just air

I throw my plate style cooler away and get a new one when there is metal shavings.

I buy a new one when it's just massive amounts of clutch dust also

+1 trash the stacked-plate cooler and replace it with a new one.
