Default M6 T56 to TH400 F-body swap ???

Okay so I am in the middle of my t56 to TH400 swap in my 99 Camaro. I have been reading and reading tons of post about the swap. I have all the parts needed and installed. Now to the wiring, that's when my questions start?

TH400 reverse valve body, trans brake, NO speed sensor or gear
Hurst Pistol Grip Quarter Stick shifter
12 bolt moser 3.73 gear 28" slick, stock abs and brakes, 4 channel
front all stock hubs and brakes with 26" tall tires

ABS lights will light up once I start rolling down the street.

Question are??

-Is it easier to hook up the VSS wires from the T56 to the rear or the front ABS sensors in the hub? Driver side or Passenger side? does the side even matter?

-what do I have to do different in the tune from using the front sensor to the rear sensor?

PARK/NEUTRAL/REVERSE lockouts or pigtails? Where do I find what wire to tap into? I am just going to jump the stock clutch wires so the car thinks the clutch is pressed down. Wires and colors would be helpful...

any other info would be so helpful...Yes I have searched and read so many different things.

I may add questions as this most moves along and I work on the swap

Thanks in advance!!!

not done for a TH350, but for a factory shifter and a 60e. But all the stuff as far as what to wire it to should be the same.

As far as ABS goes, why not just delete it? car seems like more of a race oriented build, why not lose the weight and not worry about the lights are stuff?

Your shifter should have a neutral safety switch.

I believe the wires that need to be jumped to get the car to start from the clutch pedal are purple/white and dark green. I extended these wires to the neutral safety switch.

I can verify when I get home if you need.

I believe the ABS issue is due to different sized tires from front to back and not an issue with the VSS. The VSS should deal with your speedometer and tapping into the ABS sensor in the front and tuning for that would get the speedometer working again. Someone please clarify if I'm wrong.

Yes I need to delete the ABS. That will be something I do once I get the swap completely done.

The light always come on because of the tire sizes. Which doesn't bother me.

conexion914- if you can post how you wired your shifter that would be great.

You are correct on using the ABS sensor. This has become a really common option for most as finding a working VSS sensor for the TH400 seems to be next to impossible.

Thanks guys

Here are some pictures of the pigtails. Which ones go where? Just splice into them and run them to what? ABS sensor? Shifter?

1st picture has 2 pigtails that are located near the rear of the trans on the driver side.

2nd picture 1 pigtail and is on the passenger side about middle of the trans.

Thanks

So I spliced the wires that are circled in purple and ran that to the ABS sensor up on the driver side and spliced into those wires.

What plug is this for that is circled in green?

the plug circled in white I spliced and ran the wires for the reverse switch in my shifter.

So far so good?

I am thinking that I will jump the 2 wires for the clutch switch together. But what color wires are the ones I splice and run to the neutral/park switch in the shifter? location?

That would make sense as it was a M6

Have a look at this for Neutral Safety Switch.
