Default The &^%*(#@ allen head converter bolts !

I had no clue yesterday when I pulled my tranny off the block that the converter bolts were 8mm allen heads ! It was touch and go but I did manage to get them all out .....the bolts are mangled now and not reuseable.....what to replace with.....stock...ARP.....dorman ....?

You must be dealing with a earlier LS engine, Around 2000-2001 GM started back with 15mm headed bolts but also have the Allen drive.

Updated GM bolts will have the 15mm hex, I wouldn't put Dorman anything on my vehicles, ARP is great but not needed.

Yes, ARP 12-Point are the best for getting a socket in their without rounding them off.
