Also, there is no 11-vane pump. There are 10-vane and 13-vane pumps.
Also, there is no HD rotor - there are stock and very expensive billet rotors; doubt it uses the latter.
Sounds like a 10+ year old type rebuild; better parts are available, especially the many improvements made by Sonnax.
Ah the person I was hoping would chime in!!
Thank you for your input I went ahead and got a performabuilt "GM Heavy Duty Truck". I think I'll more then likely need help with in comes to installing the torque converter. Gap from the fly to the T/C is 1 1/8".
Thanks again!!!!

Indeed, but the 80 looks so much better in terms of reliability.

Thanks for your added input!

I know sorta of a overkill, just sucks not having my ride. In my mind an 80 would out last a 60.

Thanks again for your input.

So everyone I will be going with a performabuilt trans "GM Heavy Duty Truck". Should be here the 14th. I have to use my old bell-housing and tail-shaft. I just got the tail off noticed it had 2 gaskets and one metal shaft bushing. Should I replace them? Also, was it a beast to take off those hex bolts =[ wish I had known the heads were a T50 plus bit.
Now the only issue I see is the torque converter gap. I know the gap should be 1 1/8 then slid the tranny forward and bolt up?

Replace the square cut Orange O-ring & the Output Seal with GM Part# 24232325.

I've got a couple Performabuilt tranny's, I'm pretty sure they come with the new o-ring and seal, I'd call to check. I always end up with 1-1/16" from converter pads to bell face regardless of converters used so far. So as long as your around there you should be fine. Just as important is the gap between converter pads and flex plate. I shoot for between 1/8" and 3/16" and as close to 1/8" as I can get with the shims I have.
