Default 4l65E TO 4L80E LS2 69 Pro Street Nova

Good afternoon guys,

I have a 2006 GTO donor car (A4) I'm going to swap in to a 69 pro street nova (previously 454/t400) with a tvs blower and heads and cam But before I do all that I need to upgrade the transmission to a fully built 4l80e. I've bought a 24x wiring harness from a non advertised/vendor company (very good company everyone knows there name) I have seen multiple 4l60 to 4l80 plug and play adapters. My question is will this work with e40 ecm ? I have one company telling my yes and other no. Is the the 2006 GTO 13 pin or 15 pin connector? This all new to me and wanna see if others have done this previously and can guide me to a successful outcome.

Thanks
Mike

You will need a T42 trans controller and E40 PCM. I used PCM of NC for the 4L65 to 80E conversion harness. Plugs right in. Then you can use the 4L65 tune to run the 80E. You have to go in and change the gear ratios and shift tables to match the 80E.
