Help with Jake's Rebuild Kit

I am building a 4L80E using Jake's Stage 2 Rebuild Kit, D3 Transbrake and 300M Billet Input Shaft.

The main question I have is regarding the direct drum additional friction / steel.
I have seen on the forums it was mentioned to use this with the forward steels (0.77") and use the direct steels (0.90") in the forward drum with 5 frictions and no wave.

What clearance do you like to see on each when doing this? I feel like there is a lot on the forward set this way (0.70-0.80").

Any help is greatly appreciated.

6 frictions in the direct should have .055-.065 clearance
5 frictions with no wave in the forward should be fine anywhere between .015-.055

I guess I'm trying to figure out with this kit how I am intended to achieve each stack correctly.
It came with an additional friction and an additional 0.077 steel.

I appreciate the help!

Direct:
assuming molded piston?
6x.080 friction
6x.077 steel
no wave

fwd:
assuming molded piston?
5x.080 friction
5x.090 steel
no wave
this setup may be tight and need to swap some .090 for .077 to get desired clearance

I believe that is how I have it set up now.
The Direct measured a little under 0.060".
The Forward seemed to have more.

I will verify I am measuring clearance correctly.

Was using feeler gauges between top friction and pressure plate.

Thank you again!
