Shift point question I posted a question in another thread but I don't think it's getting looked at. My question is: what should my shift points/rev limiter be set at with full bolt-ons, TCI 3800 stall, and 3.73 gears? After a lot of searching I saw Ragtop and the Colonel recommend 6200 with a stock cam and headers, setting the rev limiter at 6400. I just wanted to double-check this, and to see if it's still accurate if I have a big stall with 3.73s. Thanks guys!!! |

I have mine set at 6200, 6400 rev limiter also. I wouldn't go much higher than that with stock springs. I have 4200 stall w/3.73's What kind of times are you running right now? Beating up on AXE yet? |
Haven't had it to the track yet. I'm waiting to get my F.A.S.T. intake and ported TB on first, so I can get some tuning done. Hopefully I'll give Axe some competition he can't handle ;) Just have to borrow some tires first. |
I set my rev limit to 6600 and shift at 6500 in 1st with a stock engine and heads. I replaced the springs as they were too soft from factory. Engine still runs sweet after 22000KMS. |
