Save yourself the headache and lots of $$$ and just have you a TH400 built and be done with it. You lose the overdrive but the 4L60 isn't good for holding horsepower.I have learned this the hard way and about $3000!!!

im not makin or goin to make alot of power. i need to know if my trans problem can easily be fixed without a full rebuild. is the th400 a direct bolt on. if not what do i need?

You can build a 4l60e to take plenty of power, people give up on these for what reason I have no idea. well youy should be fine with a better then stock rebuild if you are not runnin 10 second passes.
