Dead spot between 1,5000 - 2,000 Rpms.
I've been trying to find out what this problem for a while now, and the problem just seems to be getting worse. When I'm driving at about 50-55Mph the tach is between 1,5000 and 2,0000 Rpms. In between this spot my car has no throttle response, but as soon as I accelerate past 2,000 Rpms it runs fine again. It only happens in overdrive not gears 1-3. So people have told me that it's my torque converter, others say that it's my opti. Any suggestions, or has anyone had this problem before?

see you have got that opti crap, and that thing can mess your car up so freakin bad! if it was your opti, then your check engine light should come on, if it is take it to autozone and they will scan it for free. if its not that, then you nee to get a convertor.

I don't know if this has anything to do with it , but about 1,000 miles ago my check engine light came on. It said that the passanger o2 sensor was bad. The light was on for about a week then it just turned off by itself. The other day I got my inspection and the car passed. I scanned my car and it said nothing about my o2 sensors. Although I think that this has nothing to do with the problem I'm talking about I still thought that it was pretty weird.
