Default A Little Off Topic

Wondering if a 60/65/80-e Trans can fit behind a Twin Turbo 355ci small block chevy. The motor will produce ~1200hp. Any sponsors here make one of the above transmissions that will hold up?

Thanks

A 60/65E is definitely not the answer, but an 80E would work the best out of those choices if you have a way to control it (computer). I would do a TH400 and forget about it. If you need an overdrive, go with Gear Vendors OD mated to the TH400.

An 80 might work. 1200 HP. Can't really use it on the street so I assume this is a pure race car so you should consider a powerglide or maybe a TH400

there is a company called raptor or godzila or something. do a search on the 4l80e and you will find it. they sell 4l80e's that are full manual and you can get one for an old style bell housing or new style.

if you want auto shifts and a lock up then you will need a controler of some kind. i got my tranny from chuck at FLP and am real happy with it. probably up to 800fwhp max so far but i hope to see 1200 or so fwhp soon. i am not sure if he would be able to make a full manual one for you but if you go with a computer controled one chuck can set you up nice. my rpms are something like 1800rpm at 70mph.
