What does Rossler do that FLP doesn't?

I'm about to pull the trigger and spend the $$$$$$$$. I need help.

too bad rossler is not a sponsor :(

JGKadell Mar 8, 2005 12:16 AM

yeah too bad, but what are the opinions from experience?

Just being a sponsor doesn't mean they provide the best available.

Rossler's shop isn't too far from me and I've gone there a few years back. Two of my racing pals use him exclusively and they are running extremely fast cars. One is a twin turbo Opel that runs high 7s and the other guy goes through a car every couple of years from blown BBC on alcohol in an old Chevy truck to rails to Pro Mods.

They're both satisfied customers. If I was going to build an auto for extreme use, I'd go there too.

One of the big things rossler does is make his own pumps for the 4l60e, he doesnt reuse or modify the stock pump

I've used Rossler's T400 and currently racing his TH210, both are excellant. Putting a FTP 4L in my SS now

scottyballs Mar 9, 2005 08:43 AM

so how much do there 4L60E's go for or the avg. price?

Race Car Driver Mar 9, 2005 08:47 AM

Rossler wants around 3300 for a 4L. FLP gets 2000 and 2800.

CAT3 Mar 9, 2005 09:21 AM

whats the Rossler 210?

the rossler th400's are not even 1k, yet will probably outlast the built 60E which is three times the price. Only drawbacks are limited top end mph/no lockup and lower ratio 1st and 2nd gear, that'll add another few hundred to change out.

Both Rossler and FLP make good stuff.

We won't run anything but a Rossler.

Kind of brief description of the 210, but guessing it is a 3speed not a glide correct?

Magnus Mar 9, 2005 11:43 PM

Rossler has extreme built TH350's that are cheaper and stronger than built 4L60E's.

Yes. We run the TH210 in our Firebird. It has a 2.10 low gear, 1.40 second and is the higher horsepower version of a T400.

Thanks bickle. I am only looking at making 700-800max on juice, but not racing as often as I was before (500+runs a year!). Think the regular Super duty Rossler, Rev. Man VB and TB Th400 will do me fine, I hope.

I have had ROssler tranny's since 1990....LPE vette and MTI Camaro....I have had great luck with them and EVERYONE else around here in my town has had shitty luck getting their tranny's built anywhere else. If your going to spend the money, get the Rossler 4L60E with all the goodies....period.
