Nine Ball - on the Jegs website it says its only applicable 'till 98. I assume thats a misprint? Thats a good price, BTW! I wonder if it would fit larger driveshafts from Dennys, though?

Re: What Drive shaft saftey loop will fit FLP's??
Are there any driveshaft loops designed to go further back??! I dont understand why they all loop around right at the front.
Last time I broke a driveshaft, a loop would NOT have caught it, and there was still 3 feet or so of shaft that could have launched my car in the air.
Seems like they'd want them further back to catch more chances of breakage.

I completely agree. I've witnessed three DS breaks, and not once would a DS loop at the front have helped. For safety, a loop at the front and back of the DS would be ideal.

NHRA and i believe IHRA rules require it to be within 6 inches of the slip yolk.
When i broke mine, it snapped about a foot forward of the rear u-joint. The loop held the front up just fine.
but a break in the middle could leave enough to flip you <img src="gr_eek2.gif" border="0">

When a driveshaft breaks in half, its the rear portion you want to hold off the ground, not the front. The rear portion of mine was a sharp spike, and it was DIGGING into the ground when we were pushing the car. if it'd broke when I was doing 100+mph there's no telling if I'd be alive right now. A loop about half way back seems like it'd do the trick.

I need to know too. My guess is no, by the way the bracket hangs down on the driver's side. I may order one anyway and make a few bends of my own in the bracket. And look at a way to put a different one towards the axle as well (one of those universals with the big 0 loop instead of the little o loop). I've seen the damage caused by a busted rear U-joint, that tunnel was not pretty. And with brake lines in the area...
