You should ask the place doing the restall (TCI?) if
the restall will degrade your efficiency. If so you
may find you gain in the short times and maybe ET,
but lose MPH. With heads & cam I'm sure you will
like the powerband a lot better so long as the guts
aren't much lossier than before. The 3000 is a little
short for me even with the low mods setup I have,
though it's pretty nice for drivability. Might go past
asking, and tell them you want the restall to -not-
lose you more than a point of efficiency up top. If
they'll discuss it.
If I recall, when I talked to TCI about my converter
they said their 3500 was maybe a point lower
efficiency than the 3000. From some dyno charts I've
collected it appeared that at peak this was true, but
the 3000 had a flatter, wider efficient region while
the 3500 only made its good numbers at pretty high
RPM. I don't understand what-all makes for the good,
broad efficiency in a converter but I can see there's a
lot of variation, and so asking for the right thing
might pay off in ponies.

youre gonna lose efficiency compared to the sf3000.
youll hit real hard off the line though.
