4.10's w/3500 stall?

Default 4.10's w/3500 stall?

any1 running this with a cam as well? im converting to auto and i have 4.10's and am thinking maybe to just keep them in. My question is is how bad would my mpg be?

I think 4.10s would be too much gear for the 4L60e and a 3500 converter if you're running stock or near stock diameter tires. Your gas mileage would suffer with a 4.10 gear. The 4L60e has such a tall first gear that a 3.73 would be more than enough for a street driven car. My car still has the 2.73 gear and I run a TCI 3500. I have a 3.73 set, but until I solve ALL of my traction issues I'm going to hold off on the install. The taller gear would only add to my loss of traction, it's somewhat under control with the MT Radials.

with a cam you are definitely going to have to go with a bigger tire don't know about daily driving but i love my auto with 4.10's and 4000 stall. gas mileage sucks though.

I get 23 MPG [CDN]highway at 65 MPH with my 3200/4.11 combo!!!!
