Default 228/230 + 373 Gears = What Stall Speed?

228 230 .571 ..573 112º
373 gears
TEA 1.5 5.3 heads.
Looking for a fun ride...thinking at least a 4000, maybe 4400, what do you all thin?

4000 would be the minimum I would use. If you can stand some more looseness, the 4200-4400 would be better.

I run a 4000 with a similar setup and there are times I wish I had a 4400.
For a street/strip car I would go with a 4000. For a strip/street car go with a 4400.

What kind of str would you like to have w/ this setup? This will deffinately be a street car first/strip car second. Looking at TCI and Fuddle at this point. I don't want to restall my Vig b/c I need to have the stall there to install when I do this.

I do not know what the STR of my converter is. If I had to guess I would say it is probably 2.5.
I am using the standard TCI SSF 4000 converter.

You should call Kevin Winstead with TCI at 662-224-8972. He is usually very willing to help you select the right converter to meet your performance goals.
