Default Car wants to shift......but just kina sputters?

Ok heres the deal, when I reach the high rpms like 5,000-5,500 right before the car will shift, or would shift, it just kinda spits and sputters? Does anyone know what could be going on here? I thought worst case secario is valve spring, but there is absolutly no noise from the motor what so ever, no ticking no clanking no nothing even when I rev it up and let it come back down, I thought maybe plugs? But the wierd thing is that the car still pulls like it always has through the rpm range, until it is about to shift. PLEASE HELP ASAP!!! Thank you in advance.

Never mind the car was just on its period. Its fine now, it just freaked out for some reason. Whatever

Sounds like you're hitting the rev limiter, what mods have
you done that might change the MPH vs RPM relationship?
New tune? New converter? New wheel size?
