2nd to 3rd RPM flare

I recently had my C5 A4 rebuild and on the 2nd to 3rd shift at WOT the RPM's flare up and then grab. Also it shifts hard into overdrive and grabs a little when it comes out of lock up in 4th. Any ideas you trans pros?

ive had one do that. ended up taking out overdrive. i have no clue how or why.

Every 2-3 flare I've seen was caused by too much clutch clearance.
I feel like I say this once a week at least.
i'm not a trans pro though, they seem to get tired of answering the same questions over and over.
