Default can my transmission survive 150 shot on a 400 hp car?

in about a month i should have a full bolt on car with a f14 cam on a 114 lsa. so its just a estimate im sure i'll only make maybe 375 - 385 but lets just say 400 hp for fun.
i read somewhere that a auto's trans can handle up to 500 hp, thats why im curious if my car can handle a 150 shot otherwise im just gonna stick with a 100 shot.

no. Ny 29,000 mile Z smoked the trans with just a cam and boltons (375 RWHP with no N2o) and was only to the track twice I ran a trans cooler too. Put in a vendor's performance 4L60E and smoked it after two trips to the track on a 100 shot. Then I got smart and did a TH400. Your 4L60E may last a week, it may last a year- you may get really, really lucky and it will never break, but you should plan on setting some $$ aside for a performance rebuild or a TH400 or TH350.

My advice- sell your trans now while it's in good working order- that will cover the lion's share of the cost of a 350 or 400.

Don't want to sound all gloom and doom, but I don't want to be unrealistic either.

My stock tranny lasted about 56k miles and went out a few months after my cam, a year after converter and four years/35k miles after i bought it.

The new one is still acting perfectly, been about 1200 miles and 15 track passes so far.

Gotta treat it nice, especially the WOT downshifts and temps.

My stock 4L60e has been acting funky lately and it complains alot the few times i've sprayed it with a 75 (dry) shot.

So my vote would be a "NO".

i have the same cam, and a 150-250 shot.. and i plan for it to hold.. ive rebuilt it once.. stock will last a lil while, but prolly give out over many passes as mine did the first time.. no biggie, cost me about 400$ and i did it myself
