Lets get this ball rolling.....TC1 4000 vs. Yank SS4000
First, why the $400 difference in price? I see TCIs perform well and Yanks have performed well for a long time....is it worth the price difference?
I am also looking for some real world feedback as far as gains and drivability. What's your setup? Looking for info on any TCI or Yank 3800+....
Help me out here. On a budget, but want to go fast lol....
Thanks,
Mike

IMO they will perform pretty close to each other at the track, so close I'd wager that it wouldn't warrant the difference in price. However, Yank's SS line will feel less loose on the street, more "driveable" if you will (even though the TCI 4000 is perfectly driveable, thats what I have). You just have to ask yourself if you'd rather have that extra drivability for $400 more, or if you can live with a slightly looser converter.
Like I said, I went TCI. Dont regret it one bit.

I can' t speak directly about the comparison between the two, but, can tell you I love my SS3800. I it was said above, it basically comes down to how much you want to spend, and how much " drivability " you are will to pay for. For a track-only, or street once-in-a-while car, the TCI may be just right for, for the price. I' m sure you' d be happy with EITHER one...
