Yank 4400... I know some people here have the Yank 4400 in their car with 3.73s. I am thinking of doing this next after my exhaust gets installed in February. How is it on the street? What about from a roll against the M6s? The car will become my light use daily driver in a little over a year, and I need something relatively streetable but nothing that is tight as stock. Seeing as how I'm not out of high school yet, I can handle a lot more "looseness" that some people if it means I will gain noticeable performance. What STR are ya'll running? I will be running ET Streets, or ET Drags if needed. Any problems with the tranny overheating or anything like that? What about the stock tranny with that convertor on a bolt on car, will it hold up? Sorry for the long post, just wanted to know about my next mod. Thanks for any feedback.

Re: Yank 4400... Its loose but streetable. I wouldn't get a real loud exhaust because the car will be using 2400 - 3300 rpm frequently in town.
Power is unreal, awesome from a roll.
You'll definitely need the ET Streets, ET drags if your track prep sucks.

Re: Yank 4400... For most folks i try and wave them off the TP400. It is not a "every mans" converter.
But you included some key phrases in your query.
Such as, "The car will become my light use daily driver" and "I need something relatively streetable" and "I can handle a lot more "looseness" than some people". Just be sure of what your getting into. It IS a loose converter.
STR? 2.7. Hurt your tranny? Nah, not a bit. Just used a good 16000 GVW cooler. Bolt right up? yep.
And as you mentioned already. You WILL be running some sticky tires. Sounds like you have your ducks in a row. Get that bad *** installed and go kick holy hell. Those M6's wont know what hit them. <img src="gr_stretch.gif" border="0">

Re: Yank 4400... Alright, thanks guys. That sounds like the convertor for me. I've got to where I go to the track about once a week so that convertor definately won't hurt me there, either. <img src="gr_grin.gif" border="0">

Re: Yank 4400... It's already been said and i agree that this is an excellent convertor. I drive around on 15" drag radials everyday and love spinning them through second. =)

Re: Yank 4400... Yeah the tp4400 really rocks. Like said above, get ready to rip the you know what out of the tires on the street. Get em sticky and its on. Not nitrous friendly though.
