Default Trans case size: Th400 vs. 4L80E

Is there a difference in case size between the 4L80E and the TH400? I went to drop an LQ4/4L80E combo into my Jag tonight and it didnt' quite fit... I am pretty sure my only hang up is the oil pan... but I am skeptical of the trans as well. The kit I bought is made for a TH400, but the documentation is old and was written before the 4L80E was out.

The case is longer and the tail housing is longer, so the mount location needs to be further back.
