Default good article on 6L80E in Nov 05 Hot Rod
there is a good article in the latest issue of hot rod about the 6L80E. says it should be about the same size as the 4L60 and the TH700. says there will be 4 variants of teh 6LXXE, with power capabilities ranging from 258lb-ft to 520lb-ft. ear range of 6L80 is 4.02-.67. weight is 209lbs. length 36in. also says there will be a larger 6L90E. also says that with the Gen III/IV smallblock bellhousing, it would be possible to bolt it to a Gen I/II

If I ever need a trans I will try to get one of these. I am not sure about the programing part though. I will have to read the whole article.

it doesn't cover the programming for swaps. im sure somebody will have somethin shortly though

Good to know and watch for since I am now converting to a TH350, so maybe OD will be in the future again. Or a gearvendors.
