Replacing stock transmission lines... braided steel?
Anyone have any general advice on this? Where to get parts, size, fitting, etc?
I took out the stock hard lines when I put in my new transmission but the rubber hoses I am using now.... well, I don't feel the most confident in.
Like I said, suggestions are definitely appreciated. Search is down and not helping me.

Rubber can be bad news, I've had the patched
together trans lines on my El Camino blow off a
couple of times. The Powerglide wasn't hurt (any
worse) but it's embarassing and will strand you
(I keep half a dozen bottles of ATF behind the seat
along with a nut driver for the hose clamps).
What's wrong with hard flare line? Buy it in segments,
bend it to fit, use some unions where needed. Probably
outlast braided line, probably outflow it (braided line is
well over the pressure rating needed, and a lot smaller
inside than it looks), certainly cost less.
