Default tranny cooler question

Can a B&M cooler be used as a stand alone cooler or does the tranny fluid have to go through the radiator also? If it works along with the radiator, what is the sequence order? trans - cooler - radiator - trans or trans - radiator - cooler - trans....? Thanks !!

It needs to run through both. The cooler is normally not a stand-in for the radiator, but instead a helper in cooling off the fluid. It should just splice into the line, which would put it either before or after the radiator (I don't quite remember which way I had it). You should just be able to take the line apart, put the cooler and its lines in place, and be ready to go once you mount it somewhere.

I found this, perhaps it may help a little in terms of showing you where the cooler needs to be spliced into:

It came from this site: http://www.bowlingss.com/Mods/Instal...s%20Cooler.htm

Hope I helped a little. Sorry I can't answer the question fully, but someone else will come in with more info.
