When installing 3.73's on a stock 01 ws6, is it needed to buy the (recommended) kit or can u just use the Ring a pinion with the stock setup? :devil:

If you change any gears in the rearend, I recommend re-doing the setup. I just got mine done, I bought a new shim kit, bearings, all that stuff. You can't re-use the crush sleeve. I blew my rear apart with a stock engine, so I kinda needed a new one. Make sure the ring will fit on the stock carrier, and if it is the right series for it. Series 3 will be the one for 3.73's
