Is this Yank Converter good?
 

Yank Stealth Thruster 3000, 278mm, 3000 Stall, 2.25 STR. Will this converter hold up and be a overall good converter?

stealth 3000 would be better suited to 2.73 gears. A SS3600 would be better for you.

No, they did away with their dealer program and cut the prices on all their converters by $100 or more recently. Trust me, you get what you pay for. I can't believe some people don't consider it as their very first mod.

how is a 3600 stall converter on a everyday car. i drive on the high way, and in downtown areas, i dont want it to be something ill regrete buying, i mean 700 dollars is a lot of money. and one more thing. that SS3600 yank stall... is it a lock up, i really appreciate yalls input, and im sorry if im getting on someones nervs for asking this, but still, like i said, $700 is alot of money.

my stock converter is on its last leg, and i need to do something quick. i really want to buy one today, but i need to know everyday driveablety, and if its a lock up. thanks...

I have the SS4000/2.60 and it works very well for a daily driver. You will not be disappointed in the SS3600 to say the least. Now, Yank Converters are not cheap but, you get what you pay for. I had a Yank TT3000/3.0 and beat the hell out of it. Since installing the 3.42's, I neeeded a converter to match. I did not want to spend the money on another Yank. I bought a Midwest 3600/2.0 and had nothing but problems. The converter drove well but, it alway leaked and replaced it with a Yank SS4000/2.60. It doesn't leak one bit and is easier to drive as well. With your 3.42's, the SS3600/2.55 would be perfect.

I'm running 3.42s and a 3600 vig stall. I really wish I could have bought a yank, but I plan on going with a completely different trans setup before too long so I bought my vig from a friend... You will definately not be dissapointed. It will drive pretty much like it has a stock stall except when you get into it hard. You'll have so much fun driving the thing that you'll drive it enough to first day to get used to the difference. Pay the little extra for a yank 3600 and get ready to have a blast.

Lightweight billet cover. i hope it does good on the street, and by the way, im gonna put a trans cooler on it too. its gonna be hard to spend that $700, and it better last for a long time, but here's hopeing. thanks guys for the input, everytime i had a question, i can always expect an answer, and some testemonials. thanks. now to install the thing and hope the guy doesnt find anything else wrong with it.

They are among the lightest compared to other manufacturers. The SS3600 weighs 28lbs 10oz. That is about half of what the stock TC weighs.

i'm on my third yank converter. great converter. just wish i could get all these wonderful 1.5x 60fts.
