Yank is just amazing SS3600 2.2str SI 1.57 60ft
I have a full bolt on car, with stock exhaust, no headers with a yank ss3600 stall at 3365 race weight I pull consistent 1.57-9 60fts today at US41. Man i love this converter it is very efficient. Best 60 was 1.57 on M/T slicks. I wonder what a 4200-4400 stall would do

I'm a fan of the Yanks as well. I've got the PT4000 and have pulled a 1.57 60' on Hoosier Quick Time Pro's (26 x 9.5 x 16) with a race weight of ~3700 pounds. I've only got 328.9 peak at the wheels so the converter was what made it happen. If you can still hook you'll most likely cut some low 1.5 60's or even a high 1.4 if you try the converter I have.

yeah i pulled both tires on one pass (probably by only a half inch on the right) , i would watch out though the limit of the stock torque arm blacket is about 1.57, my dad and i both pulled the same 60ft and now both of our braces that hold the torque arm to the trans are bent up, his worse than mine. And mine just happened today , oh well gotta bend it back and try and reinforce it till i get a different one.

How did you get your raceweight down so much, after installing all that stereo equipment, and with a stock exhaust?
I took off about 75lbs from the exhaust and dont have any aftermarket stereo equipment and I can guarantee my weight is higher than that. My converter also weighs 20lbs lighter than stock...hm maybe I have more work to do.

Grats, I got that same stall brand new in the box, but will likely be selling it because I'm selling the car It's a shame, because I'd really have liked to see it perform.
Peace,

to answer the weight question, i took the amp out for the run being that it is around 25 lbs lol, but all the components stayed in along with the deck, I just wrote an email and this is what i took out
took out washer fluid tank, front sway bar, sound deading from carpet, rear plastics in the hatch area, all seats but one, rear seat belts included. passenger seat belt is still in car, skinnies and slicks, front plastics that are infront of radiator, floor mats, spare tire and jack, monsoon amp, and ac so i could use my new intake to the max.
other questions... trans is fine and doing good also still got the 10bolt with 3.23s, only problem is that the crossmember brace that is at the rear of the trans that holds the crossmember in place with a rubber bushing is bent up from doing those beautiful 1.57 60fts, same thing happened to my dads car too when he pulled 1.57 60fts. Beside that everything is holding strong on my Daily Driver.
Oh yeah i also got 2mpg better on the highway doing 75 when i went back to school, i went 280 miles and hand a 1/4 tank of gas left , now that is performance that will save me money with gas being 2.75 for premium lol, due to new intake over FTRA
