I bought my car with a leaky one. I replaced it three times, and luckily this last one hasnt leaked (6 months). I say just replace it (gently) and hope it stays clean <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Only 2 things come to mind. Check to make sure there is no grove or burr on the yoke and make sure you dont have excessive pinnion angle. Good luck.

I keep blowing these things out. This is the second time. I am getting it on a lift today to see what's up. The last one was leaking, & making a friction sound, as if your rims were rubbing on the calipers (that's what I initially thought it was). Now it is just making the sounds, I haven't noticed any change in fluid levels.

My thoughts are that the hard launches, (wheels off the ground) are changing the pinion angles so much that they are wearing out. Or that the bushing has also worn out. Any thoughts? Head & cam going in soon, so the problem is only going to get worse.
