Torque Management

I'm having my 4L60E rebuilt with Z-Pak clutches and shift kit. Does a TransGo shift kit help the issues with torque management and a higher stall (2800)? Or do I still need to have the TM deleted or lowered? Thanks in advance for any info.

you will still need it tuned out of the computer.

Defiantly have the TM deleted or you will not see all of the positive effects of the stall. Either using a predator or equivalent handheld. Better yet see if you can find someone with HP tuners or efilive.

do you reccomend on deleting all the tq management from the transmission, or just the engine?

My personal choice is to remove engine TM (max the
limit) and to "soften" the trans TM by reducing the
values in the spark retard vs torque reduction table
until you see a level of delivered torque during the TM
spark-cut period that you believe the trans can tolerate.

But one in the heart and one in the head, seems to be
the way most people go.
