I bypassed the factory cooler. Running thru the after market cooler only. Seems when I get into stop and go traffic and the water temp starts to hover around 210, the tranny temp follows it. After bypassing it, its no longer an issue. Tranny temps creep up to 190 at most in stop and go traffic after about an hour. Normal driving temps are 165 -175. For what its worth.

I did not bypass the factory cooler. I just added the B&M in series after the radiator. On trucks with towing packages from the factory, it goes tranny---> radiator---> tranny cooler---> tranny. I followed what B&M said to do and what GM does.
