Default Just got a TCI 3500 stall...

I know I need a tranny cooler, what do you all recommend? Also is there a link anywhere on how to put a torque converter in? How much tranny oil should I buy when I install it? Also, I have hptuners so I was wondering what changes should I make with that? My mods are 3.42's, LT headers, 3" exhaust, LS6 intake, lid, slp maf, slp cold air, and tb bypass. Thanks

Tranny Cooler most people here run:

As far as tuning, you may have to bump your idle a bit, and you may want to modify your shift points/speeds and lockup clutch speeds.

Is it required to drop the trans. oil pan and fluid? I did that about 10,000 miles ago.

Default TC install

I just installed a TCI 3000 and I did not drop the pan and fluid. I wish I had cause it's messy, oil comes out the tail shaft when you have the tranny tilted down and the drive shaft is out, it comes out the dipstick tube hole when that's out. and when you pull the TC out it comes out of there too!

Have lots of rags ready to mop up!

So on reflection I wish I had drained it first!

I drained mine when I installed my SSF3500 cause I also changed the filter and installed a shiftkit. Id assume it'd help in weight and mess factor aswell, lol.

Think about it this way, is it worth saving 15$ in trans fluid over doing your car a favor? Just like saying, is it worth spending 15$ for some formula for you baby when you have perfectly good water in the tap.

I have the B&M hi tek cooler with braided lines and AN fittings.
Don,t know if you wanna go that far but my tranny temps stay around 150.
