Is this all I need for a th350 to work on my Lt1? I am going to do a th350 swap and I need to know if this is all the stuff i need to do the swap? The transmission comes with the following: high quality bands, frictions and seals, bushings, thrust washers, seals, gaskets, performance separator plate, manual downshift valvebody. What else will i need besides torque converter, crossmember, and pro stick shifter? Or is that all? Also when it says no provision for kickdown or tv cable what does that mean? Thanks |
As long as its a 9 inch tail shaft TH350 you can reuse the stock DS. Your going to need to figure out how to get the speedo working. I have a Rossler TH400 and he installed a VSS out of a early 90s 454 SS pickup so it was simply plug and play for me. I have the dakota digital speedo converter sitting out in the garage if you need one, I bought it thinking I would need it and the tranny I ended up buying already had the VSS conversion. A good transmission cooler is a very good idea especially if your going to run a high stall converter. no provisions for TV cable or kickdown usually means its a manual valve body which means you have to shift it yourself all the time.....upshifts and downshifts. |
Rev time whats involved in that Dakota digital box......and what are you asking for it.....Will it work with TH350??? |

Take a look at Dakotas website and you will get a good idea how it works. 20 bucks shipped. Its brand new never been used. My TH400 has a VSS and reluctor ring from a 90s 454 SS pickup installed, all I had to do was take the VSS wire and plug it in. |
