230 hp with the iron heads
235 hp with the aluminum heads (mid year change)
340 ft/lbs either way
bone stock my late 86 aluminum headed went a best of
14.30@96.1 with a 2.001 60' Automatic with 3.07 (stock) gears and factory 255/50/16 goodyears. the D/A was about 800 ft.
This was with a ton of stereo equip. full tank of gas and a 3550 race weight.
NO chip, no air element, no exhuast work.
Good running stocker.
