I was under my car and notice what appears to be a oneway valve .. its white looks made of plastic . Looks like a hose should be attached to it .Can anyone tell me what it is , whats its for , did it come unplugged or what ?

if its on top of the trans its the breather valve, from what i know it has 3 ports, one is open to air ,, the sec has a hose that runs down to the torq arm and the third goes to the top of the trans...
